The 1 Sheet Chair is a chair that was designed and developed by Peter Strzebniok and is soon to be followed by a 2 Sheet Table. Both pieces can be built out of sheets of 4’x8′ plywood.
The main aspect of the set is not the simplicity of its assembly or the fact that they can be built out of one or two sheets of plywood, but the play of planes and volumes. Looked at from one side, the chair and the table are completely 2 dimensional, but start to reveal a subtle play between the 2 dimensional sheets and the 3 dimensional volumes when one looks at the pieces from different angles.
