Stadtstern

The Stadtstern or city star is nottoscale’s design proposal for the international design competition for the Postquartier in Ravensburg, Germany.

By breaking up a typical city block and introducing a star-shaped circulation system we maintain the overall edge conditions of the surrounding urban fabric while creating an inviting new city center that radiates into its surrounding and becomes one with the adjacent square. Thereby it marks an entry into the city and becomes an important generator for the redevelopment of the area around the train station.
